According to the Vision Pro product website, preorders will commence on January 19 at 5 p.m. Pacific Time.
The business also announced that prescription lens inserts for the Vision Pro would cost $149 and that the headset will feature 256 GB of storage.
Apple’s $3,500 headgear competes with Meta’s Quest headsets and has been in development for years. Apple will unveil the product during its Worldwide Developers Conference in 2023.

The Vision Pro represents Apple’s first new product category since the Apple Watch debuted in 2015. Analysts and experts do not expect the headset to generate considerable money right away. According to UBS, Vision Pro revenue might be roughly $1.4 billion, a “relatively immaterial” amount.
Many organizations have attempted to promote virtual reality in the past, but these efforts have yet to result in widespread adoption among consumers or enterprise customers.
The Vision Pro features a novel operating system called VisionOS, as well as an input mechanism that lets clients control the headset with their eyes, hands, and voice. Apple plans to integrate Vision Pro with other productivity and creativity tools, such as Microsoft Office and Salesforce Slack.
Apple’s latest headset seeks to transform how consumers interact with games and entertainment content. Users will be able to watch videos from Apple TV+ and other platforms on a virtual reality screen “that feels 100 feet wide,” according to the company’s press release.
